Blanket, Bubbles, and the Nap-Map

Starring Sleepy Slime

Sleepy Slime yawned, hugged a fuzzy blanket, and murmured, "Nap time at the playground." A sudden rainstorm pattered, which made the new puddles bubble and splash. "Oh! Fizzy puddles," Sleepy said, feeling curious and cozy. To stay dry, Sleepy scooted under the slide and spread the blanket.

The bubbles splashed bigger, so the blanket got soggy and cold, which made Sleepy shiver. "New plan," Sleepy whispered, sniffing the rain’s fresh smell and poking a stick through the wet sand. From above, little canals led water toward the drain like a map. Making paths felt clever and brave.

But the rain hurried leaves into the canals, which clogged the map and made the bubbles burble louder. Sleepy felt droopy and almost quit. "Wait—blanket to the rescue," Sleepy decided, rolling the soggy cloth into a soft dam and using the nightcap as a tiny scoop. The water slowed, and the bubbles drifted toward the drain.

At last, the storm thinned, because the water followed the nap-map and the dam. Sleepy rinsed the blanket in the clean trickle, then rolled over it to squeeze it dry—restoring their cozy plan. "Nap after teamwork," Sleepy sighed, warmed by pride. The blanket dried on the swing, while Sleepy snoozed under the quiet slide.
