Starring Hairy balloon man, Sleepy Slime

Hairy balloon man and Sleepy Slime cozy up in the meadow as he recalls the day he met a curious snake by the pond. A gust tangled his balloon ribbons around the snake, and his scissors were missing. He chose calm words, steady breaths, and clever knot-work to help. Their memory shows how patience and gentle problem-solving can untwist a scary moment into a new friend.

Sleepy Slime yawned. “Tell me the snake story,” it murmured. Hairy balloon man patted his squeaky hand-pump. “Oh yes,” he said, fluffing his cotton-candy beard. “I was at the meadow, and I kept misplacing my scissors again.”

“The pond was shiny that day,” he said. “A little green snake peeked from the reeds, watching my bright balloons.” He waved gently. “Hello there,” he whispered. “They won’t pop if we’re careful.”

A gust whooshed. Ribbons danced and looped the snake. “Oh no!” he gasped. He reached to clip the knot, but his pockets were empty. “Scissors… where?” His heart thumped like a hand-pump squeak.

“I’ll help,” he said softly. “Let’s be still together.” They breathed in…out…slow. He lowered the balloons and used quick, careful fingers. Another breeze tugged him upward, toes tip-tapping the grass.

“I need an anchor,” he decided. Puff-puff! He pumped a big turtle-shaped balloon and pressed it to the ground. “Count with me,” he told the snake. “One… two… three.” Loop by loop, the knot loosened.

At last, the ribbon slipped free. The snake flicked its tiny tongue, friendly and shy. He tied a spare green ribbon to his hand-pump. “Reminder,” he smiled, “slow first, then fix.” The snake swished away through the reeds.

Back on the blanket, Sleepy Slime sighed. “You were very gentle,” it whispered. “Gentle works,” he said, tapping the ribbon on his pump. “Being calm helps knots and worries loosen.”

They watched the ribbon flutter like a little green wave. The meadow hummed, soft and safe. “Good night, snake,” Sleepy Slime mumbled, already drifting. Hairy balloon man smiled as the ribbon whispered, “Slow is kind.”
