Princess Pie and the Cinnamon Trail
Starring Sofia
Sofia sniffed the air. “Cinnamon!” she said, following the sweet smell from the forest gate to the castle kitchen. Her silver tiara twinkled as she whispered, “I’ll bake a pie to share.” Because she chose to follow the scent trail, she found baskets of bright berries waiting.
Bram the Royal Baker smiled. “I must deliver cakes, Princess, but you’ve got this,” he said, which made Sofia brave. She drew a simple plan in flour—mix, roll, fill—so she wouldn’t forget. The dough turned sticky and clung to her fingers, which cost her time and made a big, gooey mess.
The picnic bell rang early—oh no! Sofia frowned. “No time for one big pie,” she decided, cutting many small hand pies fast. Pip the Bluebird fluttered in to help cool them by fanning, and Sofia wiped the spilled filling from the floor so no one would slip, fixing the mess she’d made.
At the garden table, Bram returned. “Smart plan,” he said as Sofia passed warm hand pies around. Her heart felt light when Pip chirped and everyone cheered. She smiled at the ribbon of cinnamon steam in the sun and said, “Sharing tastes best when we care for the mess and each other.”
