Mochi and the Giggling Ribbon Riddle

Starring Mochi
Mochi sniffed the air and wagged her fluffy tail. “Hey, giggly ribbon, where are you going?” she asked, nose twitching like a button. The ribbon zipped into the tall grass, which made a shady hole appear beside the path. Curious and brave, Mochi chose to follow the soft giggles and peek inside.
Inside, it smelled like cool dirt and minty roots, and the ribbon slid deeper. Mochi hesitated because the dark felt big, so she whispered, “I need a light.” A warm glow blinked on—Lumen the Firefly hovered close and said, “I can help.” Relieved, Mochi decided to pad in slowly, trusting Lumen to guide the way.
The tunnel forked, and a damp breeze puffed out Lumen’s glow for a blink, which made Mochi’s tummy drop. “I rushed,” she said, ears low, and tied her red bandana to a twig to make a bright marker. Lumen brightened again and added, “We’ll map it—left smells like mint, right smells like mud.” Using scent and markers, they turned left together, careful and calm.
They found the ribbon snagged around tangled roots, and the roof began to sprinkle crumbs of dirt. “New plan,” Mochi barked. She nudged the roots loose while Lumen shined bright, and the ribbon slid free, letting sunlight pour in. Outside again, Mochi smoothed the grass and tied the ribbon in a gentle bow by the path, so the giggles could dance safely home.
