Starring Sleepy Slime

Sleepy Slime yawned so big it tripped over its own yawn. The glowing map slipped from its glossy side and skated toward the creek. “Oh no,” it murmured, blinking slow, as piney air tickled its nose and the paper rustled like dry leaves.

The map plopped into the creek and the current tugged it under mossy rocks. “Wake up, me!” Sleepy Slime said, shaking off yawns because friends were waiting for a starry picnic. It reached, but the water pulled faster, which made its heart thump and time slip away.

Sleepy Slime took a brave breath and dove its face close. A strong sigh made choppy waves that pushed the map deeper, which felt like a mistake. “Soft, not strong,” it whispered, choosing gentler, patterned sighs—little lullaby ripples that rolled under the rocks.

The lullaby ripples lifted the map free, and it drifted into Sleepy Slime’s waiting arms. “Got you,” it sighed, smiling as it pressed the soggy paper on a warm flat stone, so the glow brightened and showed a quicker path. Fireflies gathered like tiny stars, and the nightcap dripped silver moon-dots.
