Starring Alice

Alice finds a shiny Cheeto in the garden, but another baby named Milo wants it too. After a tug-of-war breaks the snack into crumbs, Alice chooses kindness over keeping her toy, offering it to sad Milo. Their new friendship leads to sharing better treats, proving that generosity creates sweeter rewards than any single snack.

Alice sat on a soft green blanket in the sunny garden, clutching her colorful shape toy. She spotted a crunchy orange Cheeto gleaming on the grass nearby. "Oh!" she giggled, dropping the toy to crawl toward the tasty treasure.

Just as Alice reached the Cheeto, another baby named Milo crawled up from behind. He wore a blue striped onesie and pointed at the snack with wide green eyes. "Mine!" Milo squeaked, grabbing the Cheeto at the same time as Alice.

Alice pulled hard with her tiny hands, and Milo pulled back just as strong. They tugged and wobbled on their bottoms, neither letting go of the crunchy prize. "My Cheeto!" Alice shouted, scrunching up her round cheeks.

Suddenly, the Cheeto snapped in half with a loud crunch! Orange crumbs scattered all over the green grass like tiny stars. Alice and Milo stared at the empty air between them, and Milo’s bottom lip began to quiver as tears filled his eyes.

Alice looked at the broken snack, then at Milo’s sad face. She remembered how happy her shape toy made her feel, and she crawled back to pick it up. "Here," Alice said softly, pushing the colorful toy toward Milo with a gentle smile.

Milo wiped his eyes and touched the spinning shapes on Alice’s toy, making it rattle pleasantly. He giggled, then pulled a box of animal crackers from his diaper bag. "Share?" he asked, offering Alice a crunchy lion-shaped cookie.

Alice crunched the lion cookie while Milo shook the shape toy, and they both laughed together. They took turns feeding crumbs to a friendly robin that hopped nearby. The sun felt warm on their faces as they sat side by side on the blanket.

As the afternoon light turned golden, Alice and Milo lined up the remaining Cheeto crumbs in a sparkly orange trail across the grass. They watched the crumbs lead toward a patch of daisies, holding hands while the shape toy rested safely between them.
