The Mystery of the Half-Eaten Apple
Starring cheese man, Sofia
When Cheese Man and Sofia discover a mysterious half-eaten apple in the enchanted garden, they investigate to find who took a bite. Following clues like sticky juice and small footprints, they learn not to jump to conclusions when they discover the culprit is Sofia's shy younger cousin who was too nervous to ask for food. Together they learn that asking questions directly is better than making wild guesses.
Sofia was showing Cheese Man her enchanted garden when she spotted something strange on the cobblestone path. "Look!" she cried, pointing at a shiny red apple with a big bite taken out of it. Cheese Man stretched his super-long arm to pick it up, his golden cape fluttering. "This is peculiar," he said, his amber eyes twinkling behind his Swiss cheese mask.
"Maybe a wild dragon dropped it!" Sofia exclaimed, her brown eyes growing wide. Cheese Man examined the bite mark carefully. "Or perhaps the Cracker Bandits came through here," he wondered aloud. They decided to search for clues, just like real detectives.
Sofia found sticky apple juice leading toward the rose bushes. "A trail!" she shouted happily. Following the droplets, Cheese Man noticed something else—tiny footprints in the soft dirt. "These prints are too small for dragons or bandits," he observed, his voice gentle and thoughtful.
The trail led them behind the biggest rose bush where they heard quiet sniffling. Sofia peeked around the leaves and gasped. There sat her cousin Prince Marco, looking scared and hungry. "Marco!" Sofia said softly. The little prince's eyes filled with tears.
"I was too shy to ask for a snack," Marco whispered, his voice trembling. "I found the apple in the kitchen and took just one bite, but then I got scared I'd be in trouble." Cheese Man's heart melted like it did when he heard sad stories. "Oh, little friend," he said warmly, kneeling down.
"You're never in trouble for being hungry," Sofia said, hugging her cousin tight. "But next time, please just ask!" Cheese Man nodded, his cape swishing. "We spent all this time guessing and worrying when we could have simply asked you directly," he chuckled. Marco smiled for the first time.
Together, the three friends walked back to the castle kitchen. Sofia found a basket full of fresh red apples and gave one to Marco. "These are for anyone who's hungry," she explained. Cheese Man told a silly joke about apples that made them all laugh so hard, he started turning into a puddle!
That evening, Sofia placed the half-eaten apple on her windowsill as a reminder. Whenever she looked at it, she remembered that the best way to solve a mystery isn't wild guessing—it's asking kind questions and listening to the answers. And Marco never felt too shy to ask for help again.
