Bananas, Barks, and a Big Oops
Starring Alice, Mochi
Alice and her puppy Mochi take a jungle picnic and meet Goro the Gorilla, who mistakes Alice’s colorful toy for a snack. A tug turns into a messy fight, hurting feelings and scattering pieces everywhere. Following fruity scents and clever shadows, the friends discover Goro’s sore finger and choose to help instead of argue. Together they fix the mess, share snacks, and learn that listening with kindness solves big troubles.
Alice giggles and shakes her toy of colorful shapes, which goes clack-clack. Mochi’s fluffy tail wags as she sniffs sweet bananas in their picnic basket. Leaves rustle, and a big shadow steps closer.
“Banana?” Alice offers, but the gorilla reaches for the clacky toy instead. Mochi barks, “Woof-woof!” because the toy is Alice’s favorite. The gorilla grips one side, Alice holds the other, and the toy stretches between them.
Pop! The toy pieces scatter into the grass, which makes Alice’s smile fade. Goro huffs and scoops two pieces, so Mochi barks louder, which startles birds into the sky. They all freeze, hearing wings and feeling little bits of dust fall like pepper.
Alice whispers, “I want it back,” and wipes a little tear. Because barking didn’t help, Mochi lowers her voice and sniffs for a fruity trail. They follow the banana smell into thick vines, which makes their picnic time slip away.
They find Goro by a fallen log, guarding the toy pieces and a pile of mangoes. Alice notices his finger is red and puffy, so she softly says, “Owie?” Goro hides his hand, which makes the air feel tight and the birds go quiet again.
Because words are hard, Alice makes a hand-shadow heart on the log, and Mochi taps a soft beat—tap, tap-tap. Goro blinks, then shows a thorn stuck in his sore finger. Alice chooses a new plan: she offers a round toy piece like a smooth cap and says, “I help.”
Goro nods, so Alice hums and counts, “One, two,” and slips the thorn out. He rumbles low, which sounds like a thank-you, and gives back the toy pieces. Because trust returns, they clean up the fruit mess together and fix the toy like a puzzle.
They share mango and banana, and Alice says, “Friends?” Goro taps the toy to the beat—clack, clack—so Mochi adds a happy “wuff!” After the hard part, the jungle feels bright again, and the toy shines in the sun like a tiny drum of peace.
