The Jar and the Promise
Starring limiteditssmee, testt
Eliza keeps her most precious treasures locked in labeled boxes, never letting anyone see what makes them special. When her careful friend Testt notices a jar of wind on the shelf and asks what it means, Eliza must decide whether to keep her treasure private or share its story. But Testt has her own struggle: she promised herself never to push, so she waits quietly instead of asking twice. Together, through patient action rather than words, they discover that some things only shine when they are shared.
Eliza kept jars on every **shelf**, Each one a secret kept for **herself**. A jar of wind, a ticket from a **train**, Pressed petals saved before the **rain**.
Then Testt came by to call one **day**, She checked her list and found the **way**. She knocked three times, not two or **four**, And waited patiently at the **door**.
Eliza let her in but hid the **box**, She slid it shut and turned two **locks**. She said, "Some things are mine alone," And stood beside it like a **stone**.
Testt saw a jar that glowed just **so**, She reached out once, then let it **go**. She had promised she would never **press**, So she sat down in silence, more or **less**.
Then Eliza dropped her favorite **pressed**, A petal fell out from the **rest**. It floated down to Testt's own **knee**, And Testt held it carefully, **gently**.
Eliza stared. Then Testt said **slow**, "I will not ask. But if you'd like to **show**..." She placed it back and did not **stay**, She left the petal on the **tray**.
That night Eliza opened one **lock**, She pulled out the jar from behind the **clock**. She carried it over without a **word**, And set it where Testt's quiet voice was **heard**.
Two friends sat quiet in the evening **air**, The jar between them, glowing **there**. No words were needed, not one **more**, Just wind inside a jar they both could **share**.
