Starring Sofia, Justin, Val, Pepperoni Pip

During a sunny picnic, Justin, Sofia, Val, and Pepperoni Pip meet a magical butterfly who leads them up a rainbow to a fairy world where they receive enchanted outfits. When the butterfly disappears and they become trapped, Sofia uses her love of jumping to spot him caught in a dewdrop, allowing the friends to rescue him and return home for a silly supper of lasagna and stinky sock pizza.

The sun warmed the red checkered blanket. Justin tossed a grape in the air. "I bet I can catch ten in a row!" Suddenly, a butterfly with wings like shattered rainbows landed on the lemonade jug. Sparkles dripped from its wings and made a glowing trail across the grass. "It's showing us a path!" squealed Sofia, her crown wobbling as she jumped.

They followed the twinkling trail through the tall meadow grass. Val hummed her steadying tune, her necklace catching the light. The path led up, up, up to a rainbow that arched like a slide. On top stood a white unicorn with a horn that glowed like a nightlight. "Hello, travelers," the unicorn whinnied. "Your fairy clothes are waiting."

Whoosh! The rainbow carried them to a garden of giant flowers. On satin leaves sat their new outfits. Justin grabbed a bright orange shirt covered in smiling mangos. Sofia, Val, and Pepperoni Pip twirled into pink rose dresses that swished like curtains, with shoes that sparkled when they walked. "I look like a flower!" laughed Sofia.

Pepperoni Pip did a happy jump, and tiny pepperoni confetti sprinkled onto everyone's shoes. "Oopsie!" she giggled. They paraded through the fairy world, showing off their fancy clothes to fluttering pixies. But when they turned to thank the butterfly, the air was empty. The sparkles had vanished. "Where did he go?" asked Val, her voice wobbly.

They searched behind mushroom houses and under daisy petals. Justin peeked inside a hollow log. "Butterfly? Come out, come out!" No answer. Val rubbed her necklace and hummed louder, but the butterfly didn't appear. Sofia's tummy felt tight. "We can't go home without him," she whispered. The sky turned a little darker.

Sofia looked up at the tall sunflowers. "Wait! I can jump high!" She bounced up like a spring, her rainbow crown flashing. From up there, she spotted something golden stuck behind a sunflower leaf. "There! He's caught in a sticky dewdrop!" Justin climbed up carefully and freed the butterfly with a gentle puff of air.

The butterfly shook his wings, and sparkles sprayed everywhere. He drew a new shimmer-path in the air that led straight to their picnic blanket. "Thank you for finding me," he buzzed. The unicorn nodded goodbye. One by one, they slid down the rainbow back to their backyard, the wind whooshing in their ears.

Back on the grass, their fancy clothes had turned back into their regular outfits—except for one mango seed in Justin's pocket and a rose petal in Sofia's crown. Val warmed up lasagna that smelled like tomatoes and cheese. Pepperoni Pip pulled out a pizza topped with socks that smelled like stinky cheese. "Home tastes the best," said Sofia, taking a crunchy bite.
