Yawn, Tie, Fly: Sleepy Slime's Dragon Day

Starring Sleepy Slime, Sofia
Sleepy Slime gave a long yawn under its purple nightcap as the moss-green dragon crouched nearby. Sofia smiled and gently tied a tiny soft scarf around the slippery slime. “This will keep you steady,” she whispered, pointing to the dragon’s back. “Tiny brave flaps, just like we planned.”
Because the scarf held snug, they tried a slow start. Sofia used pebbles to map a curvy sky path, and Sleepy Slime copied the dragon’s beats: “flap, flap, pause.” A sudden wobble slid them into a hay pile, costing time and making the dragon swish its tail in doubt. “I’m okay,” mumbled Sleepy Slime.
A gust kicked up, and the knot slipped; Sofia’s heart thumped as the dragon huffed. She retied the scarf into a tiny harness and whispered, “New plan: follow the warm cinnamon smell and match flaps to the long shadows—slow and steady.” Sleepy Slime chose brave again: “Tiny brave, big try.” The dragon lowered its wings to help.
They rose, gliding after sweet curls of bakery steam while shadows on the grass counted, one-two, one-two. Because the harness held and the plan was clear, tiny flaps matched strong strokes, and wobble turned to whoosh. They landed by the warm bread smell, laughing as the scarf fluttered like a ribbon. “We did it!” Sofia beamed; Sleepy Slime yawned, proud.
