Pat-Pat, Squish-Swish! Sofia’s Sandy Wish

Starring Sofia
Sofia ran to the sunny shore and breathed in the salty air. She tapped her tiara twice and whispered, “Tap-tap-tiara for luck!” Then she scooped wet sand with her sparkle shell scoop and chanted, “Pat-pat, squish-swish,” as she built a tall, lumpy tower. “Hello, sandy day!” she said, feeling bubbly and brave.
A splashy wave slid in and the tower slumped, which made Sofia’s tummy sink. “Oh no!” she said, frowning, but because the sand felt sticky and cool, she got an idea. She used her sparkle shell scoop to dig a ring moat and packed walls tight, chanting, “Pat-pat, squish-swish,” to keep her rhythm. The moat glugged softly, and Sofia felt hopeful again.
Then the tide hurried in, so the castle trembled at the edges. Sofia tapped her tiara again—“Tap-tap-tiara for luck!”—and dug faster, piling a curvy sea wall. “Pat-pat, squish-swish!” she chanted, smoothing the top. The wave whooshed, but the moat slurped it up, and the walls held strong.
After the big splash, the castle stood tall, and the moat shimmered like a bracelet. Sofia patted the gate smooth and whispered, “Pat-pat, squish-swish,” softer now because the work was done. She tapped her tiara one last time for thanks and grinned, proud and calm. “Tomorrow,” she said, “I’ll teach my friends this lucky sand trick.”
