Declan and Samuel’s Big Adventure

Starring Frayja, Týr, Hercules

Declan and Samuel set out toward the park with Hercules, Frayja, and Týr, carrying a bag of treats. When Hercules dashes ahead, they chase him through warm water and tangled trees, while Týr briefly runs off with the treat bag before returning it untouched. At a blocked trail, Týr discovers a hidden path that leads them to a grassy clearing, where Hercules finds them and they share a picnic. By working together and trusting Týr's keen nose, the group turns a chase into a happy adventure with full bellies.

Hercules sniffed the ground ahead toward the park. Samuel carried treats beside Declan, who called, "Dogs, here!" Frayja and Týr trotted closer.

Rustle! Hercules shot past a bush, leaving the others behind. "Declan, chase him!" Samuel yelled, as Declan held the treat bag and hurried after that disappearing tail.

Frayja crouched for Declan, then carried him through shallow, pleasantly warm water. He splashed Samuel, who laughed, "More splashes later!" Then Hercules vanished around the bend, and Declan gripped tighter. "Where is he?"

Týr snatched the treat bag and bolted. "Týr, back!" Declan called. He returned, and Declan gathered the bag between himself and Samuel without taking even one snack.

Bag tucked behind Declan, they chased Hercules beneath towering, tangled trees, past rushing, pleasantly warm creeks. His nose skimmed the ground as he pulled farther ahead. "He's still going!" Samuel called.

The trail stopped at tangled trunks. "We're stuck," Samuel said. Then Týr sniffed beneath the leaves and nosed between two trees, finding a hidden path ahead.

They squeezed through into an open circle of grass. Týr gave a proud pant, and Hercules licked Samuel's hand. "All right, picnic!" Samuel smiled, reaching for the bag.

Warm creek water dried as Declan shared treats with Samuel and all three dogs. Hercules held a big treat, while Týr crunched a biscuit in his lap. Every belly was full and happy!
