Ji-woo's Wobbly Question

Starring Ji-woo, Halmoni
At breakfast, Ji-woo discovers that one of her bottom teeth is wobbly. She's sure it will hurt when it comes out, so she chews on the other side and won't touch her apple slices. Halmoni has an old photo and a story about a tooth tossed onto the roof, but Ji-woo still wonders what will happen to hers.
Ji-woo bit her toast and stopped when her bottom tooth wiggled! She pressed her fingertip against it. Then she hurried toward the mirror.
Ji-woo peered into the bathroom mirror as Halmoni leaned close beside her. "That's your first wobbly tooth," Halmoni said. Ji-woo kept her fingertip there and asked, "Will it hurt?"
All day, Ji-woo chewed on the other side. Her apple slices stayed on her plate. She pressed her fingertip to the tooth. "It's going to hurt," she whispered.
Halmoni showed Ji-woo an old photo. Mom was six, with a big gap in her smile. Ji-woo laughed and touched the photo. "Tell me another story about Mom sometime!"
"When I was little, I tossed my tooth onto the roof," Halmoni said. "A magpie would bring me a new one." Ji-woo touched her tooth. "What'll happen to mine?"
At dinner, Ji-woo slurped noodles and told Halmoni, "I made a leaf boat today!" Plink. Her tooth landed in the bowl, but she kept slurping.
Ji-woo spotted her tooth and touched the gap. "It didn't hurt!" she said as Halmoni clapped. She grinned at her reflection in a spoon and said, "Look, Halmoni!"
In the yard, Halmoni lifted Ji-woo high. Ji-woo grinned and tossed her tiny tooth toward the roof. Up it went!
