Starring Silly Baboon

After hearing about Mimi Puff and Blizzard Ben’s cocoa adventure and pebble‑and‑jar “money map,” Silly Baboon wants to ski a black diamond. With their help, he makes a simple “what‑if turns” plan. A gusty wind and an icy patch test his patience and choices. By adapting the plan and choosing a safer exit, he reaches the bottom proud and warm with shared cocoa.

Silly Baboon tightened his red‑and‑yellow bandana and pushed up his blue glasses. “I want to try the black diamond,” he whispered, heart thumping. The village below smelled like warm cocoa and fresh snow. His tail swished with fizzy excitement.

Mimi Puff hopped over. “Remember our pebble-and-jar money map?” she said. Blizzard Ben nodded. “Let’s make a ‘what‑if turns’ map for the slope.” They placed ten pebbles: five for left turns, five for right, one in each pocket. “Slow turns, then cocoa,” Mimi grinned.

On the chairlift, the mountain hummed. “If the slope feels busy, I’ll wait and breathe,” said Silly Baboon. “That’s smart,” Ben replied. Mimi added, “After five slow turns, we meet by the pine, then cocoa.” The village chimed with tiny bells below.

At the top, a gusty wind whooshed, flapping coats. Silly Baboon’s glasses fogged a little, and his tummy fluttered. He tucked behind a pine and counted, “One…two…three.” Then he smiled. “I’ll start with soft feet and a small S.”

He began: one left, pebble moved; one right, pebble moved. “What‑if I get wobbly?” he asked himself. “Then pause.” He reached the meeting pine after five careful turns. Mimi and Ben waved from the safe edge, clapping mittened hands.

An icy patch glittered like glass. He slowed, edges whispering. “We once picked a closer picnic spot,” Ben called, remembering the windy day and the shared cocoa cup. “Choose the nearer exit!” Mimi pointed to a side trail. Silly Baboon nodded and turned.

He side‑slipped past the ice and glided onto the safer path. “Because I changed the plan, I’m okay!” he laughed. They cruised together to the bottom, skis humming. The last two pebbles clinked in his pocket like tiny cheers.

By the cocoa stand, they shared a steamy cup and poured the pebbles into the old jar. “Brave and thoughtful,” Mimi said. “Plans can bend,” Ben added. Silly Baboon tapped his bandana and grinned at the mountain, feeling warm from head to toes.
