Mimi and the Big Big Slide

Mimi Puff and Blizzard Ben are exploring the sunny amusement park when they spot the incredibly tall Big Big Slide. While Mimi is both excited and a little scared, Ben, despite his own occasional jumpiness, encourages her to be brave. Together, they decide to conquer the towering slide, discovering that facing fears is much easier and more fun when you have a friend by your side.

Mimi Puff, wearing her pink puffer vest with little animal friends peeking from the pockets, skipped through the sunny amusement park. Her cousin, Blizzard Ben, zoomed a little ahead on invisible skates, his shiny blue-purple visor reflecting the joyful colors all around them. 'Look, Ben!' Mimi Puff squealed, pointing a tiny finger way up high, 'The Big Big Slide!'

It was the Big Big Slide, taller than three houses stacked high and super swirly! 'Wowee!' Mimi Puff clapped her hands, but then her dark almond eyes grew wide as she really looked at it. She hugged Foxy, the animal face on her vest pocket. 'It looks... so big,' she whispered, humming her soft pocket-song to make herself feel steady.

Blizzard Ben tapped his helmet twice, 'Tap-tap!' He knelt down so he could look Mimi Puff right in the eye. 'Slimes and icicles, Mimi! It IS big. Are you sure you want to slide down?' Mimi Puff peeked up from behind her hands, 'Maybe... if we go together?' she asked, hoping Ben would say yes.

'Together!' Ben agreed with a firm nod, his cozy gray scarf bobbing. They started up the long, long stairs, climbing step-by-step. *WHOOSH* went the wind past their ears, making a snug noise that made Ben's shoulders jump just a tiny bit. He quickly tapped his helmet again, 'Tap-tap! Almost there, little cousin!'

At the tippy-top, the world looked like tiny toy blocks below! The Big Big Slide stretched out, shiny and steep, disappearing around a bend. Mimi Puff felt a wobble in her knees. 'It's so high, Ben! What if it's too fast?' She hugged Foxy on her vest tightly, feeling her pocket-song flutter away.

Ben's goggles glimmered as he leaned close. 'Even Big Ben gets a little wobbly sometimes. But we're together, so we can be brave!' Mimi Puff looked at his kind face, then did a quick 'peek-and-smile' with her Foxy pocket, a secret trick for courage. 'Okay!' she decided, taking a deep breath. 'Let's go!'

WHOOSH! SWISH! ZIPPITY-ZAP! Down they slid, faster and faster! The wind tickled Mimi Puff's tiny ponytail, and Ben's cozy scarf flew out behind them like a blue-gray flag. Mimi Puff giggled and giggled with delight all the way down, and Ben let out a happy, snowy-mountain cheer!

With a gentle splash and a soft bump, they landed at the bottom. Mimi Puff jumped up, her pink vest puffing out with pride. 'We did it, Ben! We did the Big Big Slide!' Ben gave her a triumphant high-five. Being brave, especially with a friend by your side, made everything feel extra sparkly, just like his goggles in the sun.
