Mall Maps and Moonlight Sparkles

Starring Sofia, Sleepy Slime
Sofia held a mall map and smiled. "Let’s find ribbons and a smoothie," she said. Sleepy Slime yawned, its purple nightcap drooping, which made Sofia giggle. They stepped inside, where lights twinkled and pretzel smells made the air sweet.
At the smoothie stand, Sleepy Slime wobbled and bumped the cup, so purple smoothie splashed. "Oh no!" Sofia gasped, feeling worried. A custodian hurried over with a broom and a gentle smile.
"I’m Rosa. Let’s clean together," said the custodian. Sofia grabbed napkins and wiped, which made Rosa nod proudly. Because they helped, Rosa gave Sofia a sticker that showed a shortcut path of colored arrows. Sleepy Slime perked up when they followed the bright floor tiles like a dance.
They reached the escalator, but it was broken, which slowed everyone down. "The toy store is upstairs," Sofia said, frowning. She checked the sticker map and found a service hallway with dim lights, so they took the stairs, whisper-quiet and cool.
The upstairs door was locked, and an announcement boomed, "Story Stage begins in five minutes!" Sleepy Slime started to snooze, which made Sofia worry. She took off her tiara and angled it to catch a light, sprinkling sparkles under the door. "Shiny stars, friend," she whispered. Sleepy Slime blinked awake.
Because it woke up, Sleepy Slime slid flat as a coin and slipped under, pressing a big green button inside. The door clicked open, and they hurried to the stage. "You made it!" Rosa cheered, waving. Sofia pointed. "Sleepy, start the fountain!"
Sleepy Slime booped the start button, and the fountain leapt into rainbow light. Kids clapped, and music chimed. Sofia felt proud and light, like bubbles. Rosa smiled wide. "Teamwork saves the day!"
After the show, they reached the toy store at last. Sofia chose a pink ribbon and a tiny nightcap charm for her friend. The sticker map now rested on her tiara, which still twinkled softly. As they shared a warm cinnamon roll, Sofia said, "Helping made the way bright."
