“Welcome to the Great Giggle Games!” Justin announced, flashing his easy grin. He tapped his aviator sunglasses and pointed to the backyard. Whimpy weiner gulped at the slippery tarp. “It looks… extra slidey,” he whispered, cheeks almost squeaking with shine.

Because they needed a plan, Justin sketched a giggle map in chalk on the patio. “Tarp Sprint, Noodle Weave, Sprinkler Spin,” he read. Whimpy sniffed the fresh, dusty chalk smell and nodded. The map made him feel safer, so he agreed to try first two games.

They started the Tarp Sprint because the sun was warm and the sprinkler hissed like soda. Justin whooped, but Whimpy wobbled at the top. “I’m not sure,” he said, toes—well, end—trembling. Justin softened his voice, “We’ll go slow.”

Just as they counted down, the hose popped off and sprayed everywhere, which washed away the chalk map. Mud splashed, and the tarp turned too soapy. “Oh no—lost our plan,” Whimpy groaned. They spent time wiping puddles, which made them late for the next game.

“My bad—I cranked the water,” Justin admitted, so they fixed it together. He clipped the hose tight and set the sprinkler to a gentle mist. Whimpy lined pool noodles as bumpers and laid towels for grip. Working side by side made the backyard feel calm again.

After the fixes, a gust flipped the tarp’s corner, which spooked Justin. “Maybe we skip the sprint,” he said. Whimpy took a breath. “I have a plan.” He pinned the loose edge with smooth garden stones and asked, “Misty setting only, okay?”

Because Whimpy led the fix, Justin nodded and set the mist. “Ready when you are,” he said. Whimpy wiggled forward, then whooshed down. Justin slid after him, and laughter sprayed louder than water.

They redrew the giggle map in the sun, which made the colors pop again. “Team plans beat tough puddles,” Justin said. Whimpy smiled, warm and shiny. He traced a little star by the Tarp Sprint, remembering that brave can grow when a buddy listens and the mist stays just right.
