Starring Blizzard Ben, Ella

Blizzard Ben and his little cousin Mimi Puff discover a towering slide at the snowy playground. Though Ben feels nervous about the loud whoosh it makes, and Mimi worries it's too high, they decide to try it together. When Ben's goggles fly off mid-ride, Mimi's quick thinking and brave choice help them both reach the bottom safely, teaching them that facing fears with a friend makes everything less scary.

Blizzard Ben spotted a strange slide that shimmered with frosty blue ice on one side and crackling orange flame on the other, curling like a ribbon through the snowy playground. His shiny blue-purple visor caught both cold sparkles and warm glows as he tapped his helmet—tap-tap—feeling his heart thump. "Mimi, look at that slide!" he called, pointing up at the glowing, steaming tower.

Mimi Puff tilted her head back, her ponytail bobbing as she stared up and up. "That's so high," she whispered, touching the little animal faces on her vest pockets. Then a child zoomed down with a loud WHOOOOSH, and both cousins jumped at the sudden noise.

"Maybe we should try the small slide first," Ben suggested, his gray scarf hiding his nervous smile. But Mimi surprised him by shaking her head. "We can be brave together," she said, starting to hum her soft pocket-song as they climbed the ladder side by side.

At the top, Ben's boots felt frozen to the platform as he peered down the steep, icy chute. "It's okay," Mimi said, sitting down and patting the space behind her. Ben took a deep breath, tapped his helmet twice, then carefully sat and wrapped his arms around his little cousin.

They pushed off! The slide roared like winter wind as they spun around the first curve—so fast that Ben's visor flew right off his face. "My goggles!" he shouted, but they were already whipping into the second twist, and everything blurred without them.

"Close your eyes, Ben! I'll be your eyes!" Mimi called out bravely, squeezing his arms. She hummed louder over the whooshing noise and guided them by leaning left, then right. "Almost there!" she sang, her pocket animals bouncing as they zoomed toward the bottom.

They tumbled into the soft snow at the bottom, laughing and panting. A playground helper ran over with Ben's visor, its lenses still sparkling. "You both were amazing!" she said, and Ben grinned at Mimi, tapping his helmet twice in celebration.

Now Ben's visor sat safely on his head as they walked to the cocoa hut, both cousins glowing with pride. "Next time, let's go down backward!" Mimi giggled, touching her pocket animals. Ben laughed and nodded—because sliding together, even when things went sideways, was the best adventure of all.
