Sofia and the Brambles of Bravery

One sunny morning, Sofia found Max, the kingdom’s biggest prankster, hiding behind a tangled bramble bush. He giggled as he tried to trip her with a string, but Sofia just smiled and asked, “Why are you always making trouble, Max?” Max blinked, surprised by her gentle voice. Birds chirped in the trees as a soft breeze rustled the leaves.

Instead of being angry, Sofia sat next to Max on the soft moss. She asked, “Is it really that funny to see someone stumble? Or do you just want someone to notice you?” Max looked down and fiddled with his shoelaces, unsure of what to say. The air was filled with the warm smell of earth and a gentle silence.

Max’s face turned red, and he whispered, “Sometimes, I just feel scared people won’t like me.” Sofia nodded, saying, “I like you more when you’re kind. Want to try being friends instead?” A hesitant smile flickered on Max’s face as hope sparkled in his eyes.

From that day, Max stopped trying to trip others and chose to walk beside Sofia. Together, they laughed, explored, and shared snacks, leaving the old prickly tricks behind. Sofia was glad she had asked questions and listened, and Max was glad he had someone by his side.
