Starring Whimpy weiner, Hairy balloon man

Whimpy Weiner and Hairy Balloon Man visit a college celebration, but Whimpy's nervous wobbles cause him to slip and pop his balloon hat, accidentally stopping the music. When Hairy drops a ribbon under the stage and cannot fit to retrieve it, Whimpy must choose to brave the dark gap despite his shaking fears. Using his shiny slipperiness to zoom through the crowd, Whimpy retrieves the ribbon and saves the party. In the end, Whimpy learns that being wiggly is okay when you help a friend, and the two enjoy the floating balloons under the starry sky.

Whimpy and Hairy stood at the tall iron gates of the college. "My tummy feels jiggly," Whimpy squeaked, his shiny red-brown skin wobbling. Hairy patted his fluffy pink beard and grinned, "Hold my hand, little friend. We'll float through this together!"

Hairy reached for his silver hand-pump clipped to his belt. SQUEAK-SQUEAK! He filled a yellow balloon and twisted it into a bouncy hat. "There!" he said, placing it on Whimpy's rounded head. Whimpy's expressive eyes sparkled, though his legs still shook like jelly.

Suddenly, a big drum went BOOM-BOOM! The ground shook, and Whimpy slipped on a dropped cupcake—whoosh!—sliding right under a long table. POP! went the balloon hat against a table leg. The music player stopped, and the party went silent.

"Oh dear," Hairy said, checking his belt. "The speaker needs a new button, and I dropped my last ribbon under that heavy stage." He looked at the dark space. Whimpy peeked out, his face showing worry lines. "I'm too round to fit," Hairy sighed, patting his tummy.

Whimpy looked at the tiny gap under the stage. He felt his nerves sizzle, but he saw Hairy's kind blue eyes. "I'm slippery enough to slide in there!" Whimpy decided. He took a deep breath and wobbled forward, his polished body gleaming with courage.

Whimpy zoomed like a shiny bullet across the floor, dodging shoes and chair legs. He rolled under the stage and hugged the ribbon spool with his whole wobbly body. Then he slipped back out, quick as a blink, sliding right back to Hairy's waiting hands.

Hairy tied the ribbon to a bunch of balloons and attached them to the speaker button. The balloons pulled the switch—CLICK!—and music filled the air! People danced, and colorful lights sparkled. "You brave little roller!" Hairy cheered, giving Whimpy a gentle high-five.

The party glowed with golden lanterns. Whimpy sat on a soft cushion, wearing a new green balloon crown, watching balloons float up to the stars. He wasn't shaking anymore. "Being wiggly is okay," he whispered, "when you help a friend."
